Discover Our Curriculum in Depth:

Drawing from extensive experience in instructing ongoing progressive classes, coordinating social events, hosting workshops, and closely monitoring the dynamics of social dancing in our community, we’ve evolved and fine-tuned our approach. We’ve methodically refined the methods, pacing, and sequencing employed in teaching the core fundamentals of Brazilian Zouk.

The curriculum we offer today is the culmination of a continuous journey of enhancement. Our ultimate objective is to furnish our students with the essential skills required to seamlessly assemble all the components of Brazilian Zouk, enabling them to master this captivating dance form.

The Foundation of Our Curriculum:

At flowaka, our primary objective is to equip you with the necessary tools to excel as a confident and adaptable social dancer. This encompasses mastering the art of comfortable dancing, whether you’re taking the lead or following, as well as establishing a strong foundation. Our curriculum also places a strong emphasis on musicality, spatial awareness, and floor navigation. Additionally, we delve into the intricacies of social dance dynamics, etiquette, and safety.

We’ve meticulously crafted our curriculum to take your social dancing skills beyond the mere understanding of movements. Throughout our courses, you’ll have ample opportunities to dance and practice in a class setting, under the expert guidance of our instructors and their assistants. Moreover, our curriculum is designed to facilitate personalized feedback from our instructors and assistants, ensuring your growth as a dancer is nurtured in a tailored and supportive environment.

Course Format and Duration:

Our courses follow an 10-week format, consisting of one 1hour class per week. Within this framework, we allocate 8 weeks for the introduction of new material and dedicate the remaining 2 weeks to comprehensive activities. During these review weeks, we focus on practice, feedback, and engaging discussions covering critical elements such as connection, musicality, social dance dynamics, etiquette, safety, as well as various exercises and challenges that serve to integrate and consolidate all the course’s teachings.


this is a very intensive frame work. some school devide this in to smaller classes. as for me i want to get you there faster then my process, but it will take didication and allot of practice. ( basics is key)

  4. Building Foundations and Perfecting Body Movements:Our primary objective with each course is to empower you to engage in comfortable and healthy social dancing. To achieve this, every course emphasizes the foundational elements of Brazilian Zouk and Body Movements. Each course focuses on a specific set of Body Movements within this dance style and places significant emphasis on mastering essential foundations.
